Consumer Health Data Notice

Last updated: 26 September 2026Version 1.0

Washington's My Health My Data Act and Nevada's consumer health data law protect "consumer health data", a term that includes some biometric data, such as images of a person's face or recordings of their voice from which an identifying template could be extracted. Connecticut's privacy law gives similar protection to consumer health data and biometric data. Zentiq does not collect medical information, but because avatars and voices are made from faces and voices, this notice explains how we handle that data.

This notice applies when Zentiq decides how the data is used, for example when you use Zentiq as an individual or family. When we process data for a business, school or other organisation, that organisation's notice applies instead, and we act on its instructions.

1. The consumer health data we collect

  • Face images: photos or video of a person, used to create an avatar.
  • Voice recordings: used to create an AI voice.
  • Information you choose to share in conversations: if you tell an avatar about your health, that information is part of the conversation transcript.

We do not use face images or voice recordings to identify anyone, and we do not create templates for that purpose. Camera video used by on-device features stays on your device.

2. How we use it and where it comes from

We collect this data from you, when you upload a photo or recording or talk to an avatar, and use it only to create and run the avatar or voice you asked for, to provide the conversations you have, to keep the Service safe, and to comply with the law. We collect face and voice data only after you confirm your consent in the product.

3. Who we share it with

We share it only with our service providers (processors), and only as needed to provide the Service to you: cloud hosting and storage providers, providers of the servers that generate avatar video, and AI service providers for speech, language and voice. Our Sub-processors page lists their categories. If your account is managed by someone else, such as a family account owner, they can see the data in that account. We do not share consumer health data with any other third party or affiliate, we do not sell it, and we do not use geofences around places where health services are provided.

4. Your rights

  • to confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, and to access it, including a list of the third parties and affiliates with whom we have shared it and how to contact them;
  • to withdraw your consent to our collection and sharing of it;
  • to have it deleted, including from our processors' systems and, as they expire, from backups; and
  • to appeal if we decline your request.

To use these rights, email privacy@zentiqai.com. We will confirm your identity, reply within 45 days (which the law allows us to extend once, by a further 45 days, if we tell you), and will not discriminate against you for using them. To appeal a decision, reply to it or email us with the subject line "Appeal". If we deny your appeal, you can contact the Attorney General of your state.

5. Changes to this notice

We will update this notice before we collect, use or share consumer health data in a new way, and ask for your consent where the law requires it. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
